Plot: Two Criminals and one wants the other to get killed. Full summary » | »
Story: The film opens in Bangkok where Aadhi (Jayam Ravi) is a rich and smart suave smuggler whose intention is to make money by doing all nefarious activities. He bumps into Karishma (Neetu Chandra) a girl in distress, and finally falls in love with her. The naive girl using her charms brings him to Mumbai and then we know that she is Rani Sampada lover of Mumbai's dreaded don, who is on a mission. In Mumbai, Aadhi is chased by police, politicians and a big illegal mining mafia as they think he is Bhagavan (Jayam Ravi) the effeminate bad guy. How Aadhi takes on them forms the rest of the story. After 2 years I have expected lot from Ameer and Ravi also but Imdisappointed after seeing 1st half.but when the Mumbai Bhagavancharacter there was some sound wakes me up in the theater.And afterinterval BGM of Yuvan Rocks and it makes me entertained and of courseacting of Jayam Ravi also quite brilliant(Bhagavan) and its not likeRobo Aadhi and in Aadhi character he walks like Robo and don't have anyexpression and he should learn it from Thala from Billa.Coming toactress they should have go for some leading actress and climax fightby Neetu Chandra was good. But, her lip sync for her Tamil dialogs isbelow-par, truth to tell.overall Bhagavan was good and rating for himwas 4/5 and for Aadhi was 1/5.

I went to the cinema hall expecting a total badass gangsta flick,did iget what i wanted?yeah, to some extent.Ameer who has previously mademovies like Ram and Paruthiveeran experiments with a full blowncommercial flick.
Aadhi Shanmugam is a gangster based in Bangkok,he earns the wrath ofRao brothers of Andhra Pradesh after he steals their stash posing as aCBI officer.Gradually he falls out with his boss Mr.Shyam , andeveryone including his former boss and Rao brothers want himdead.Meanwhile he falls for a waitress and follows her to Mumbai.Whathappens next is the interesting part of the story.
This movie is by far the best movie of jayam ravi,he convincingly pullsof both the roles of aadhi and bhagavan.Neetu chandra has acted welltoo.There appears to be a few open ends but maybe the director hasplans for a sequel.

Aadhi Bhagavan: The film we've all been expecting from director Ameerand actor "Jeyam" Ravi. Many people had high hopes for it to be trend-setter. About the film, the storyline is different and amazing, yet notfor everyone. The first half blends the artistic portrayal of a highclass gangsters' lifestyle. It somehow makes you experience the similarexperience while Streaminging "The Godfather" due to the similar portrayalof a mafia family. The tone of the film in the first half makes youfeel like this is going to be another masterpiece like "Nayakan". TheBGM is also amazing , kudos to Mr. Yuvan Shankar Raja. The second halfon the other hand, takes us to a whole new level, and that's where thereal brilliance begins. Director Ameer really deserves a standingovation for making gangster films in a total different manner. His wayof contrasting two characters was flawless, and that was heavilypossible due to Mr. Ravi's acting skills and expressions. In thebeginning, even I sighed as I thought this was going to be anothercliché where double acting is concerned. I was proved wrong as thisfilm was wonderful and can only be enjoyed by A class audiences. Forpeople who're expecting a commercial film, please head to the "AlexPandian" group of audiences. As for the film being a trend-setter, I'dsay it definitely succeeds.
